Change can create fear and anxiety. #HealthierMO is committed to listening to the concerns people express about the transformation effort. You can help us ensure that each voice is heard by being a "best friend." We don't expect you to provide solutions to every issue raised, just listen, reassure and let us know about common fears and concerns you think we need to address, without breaking any confidences.

Councils and Committees

We appreciate the volunteers who are currently serving on the following groups. We are not actively seeking new members for these councils and committees at this time.

Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is a diverse group of approximately 35 public health system stakeholders from across Missouri. They were selected based on input from public health system stakeholders and an open call for nominations. The Advisory Council is tasked with recommending approaches for moving the initiative toward the vision of a stronger, more sustainable, culturally relevant and responsive public health system that can meet the challenges of Missouri’s diverse communities.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is a 7-member team of professionals with expertise in communications, marketing, public relations, or social media. Their role is to strengthen the initiative's communication efforts by working with initiative staff on communications planning, message and materials development and review, information dissemination, monitoring and evaluation.

In June 2018, members of the Steering Committee transitioned to different roles on the Advisory Council, the Project Operations Committee and the Executive Committee.
